Annual Cavalcade 2024

As we approach the end of 2024, it's the perfect time to reflect on the year that has nearly passed.

2024 has been an exceptionally dynamic and eventful year for us. We've maintained a high level of activity across all our disciplines, excelling in product deliveries and demonstrating innovation through practical technology development.

1st quarter 2024

During the first quarter of 2024, we had work on the Jotun ship when it was being rebuilt.

Here we carried out passive fire protection. The assignment entailed considerable engineering work and documentation to satisfy the strict requirements set for the project.

We also carried out sandblasting of the wastewater tank with a robot on the Gjøa installation.

We tested the use of the robot Pluto in connection with tank work on the Gjøa platform of the former Neptune Energy, now Vår Energi AS.

Furthermore, we used laser cleaning as the surface treatment method! This surface treatment method involves using a laser beam with a power of up to 2000W to remove the layer on the surface. The result was uplifting. Laser is dry and clean, leaving minimal secondary waste. The result was a perfect surface that has been treated and prepared for further processing, and is particularly suitable for cleaning surfaces with high demands on cleanliness.

We presented the apprentice Marcus on assignment at the Coastal Culture Centre in Bergen. We are an approved apprenticeship company in the scaffolding trade, the insulator trade and the industrial painting trade.

2nd quarter 2024

In the second quarter, we were in the process of preparing for assignments for the Valhall bridge project for Nymo. We built a frame and tent to carry out surface treatment, insulation and metallisation on the new bridge that will go out on the Valhall field.

Here, we participated in the celebration of the successful completion of the painting program, with a huge cake in "Vainos hall" feedback to everyone involved: "This achievement reflects the dedication, skill, and teamwork of everyone involved. Delivered on time and with excellence".

3rd quarter 2024

At the same time, one of our scaffolding apprentices took a dip in connection with scaffolding construction on the waterfront in Bergen! At least this documents varied projects!

We also had assignments for FRAMO, where we delivered surface treatment and metallization. We built a roof over roof solution to ensure a dry and safe workplace. The project was rewarded with nice feedback from the customer, where they thanked for a fantastic effort in completing extra work with metallization on time!

Deep Sea Atlantic left CCB at Ågotnes outside Bergen after a hectic and extensive stay ashore, where about 60 people had been working on day and night shifts.

We carried out an extensive painting program on Gjøa. Here we removed about 300 m2 of deck covering. We removed and installed the wind wall using access technology. We pre-treated and painted. We built scaffolding and installed Teflon gaskets between the structure/wind wall and the steps/structure to protect new paint.

Johan Castberg set sail from Stord to the Barents Sea! Here, Aker Solutions shared a film and thanked everyone involved for their efforts! Here, over 2500 people were active at Stord for the execution of the project.

Vår Energi shared a post on LinkedIn about the high activity period (HAP) at Ringhorne. 4 kvartal 2024

Furthermore, we carried out ISO assignments at PX Ltd's plant in Risavika, Tananger. Here, shutdown work was carried out with a high level of activity. At the same time, work was carried out on a CUI campaign as well as an inspection campaign.

SOFT arranged an unofficial NM in rope access. The event was carried out in StS-ISONOR's course facilities, after it was a huge success in 2023. This year's victory went to StS-ISONOR- Hooray!

We signed a contract with NYMO for work on the MEG module in October! The scope of work includes insulation of pipes, tanks and equipment for the MEG module on Valhall.

There was a lot of activity at the CCB base at Ågotnes outside Bergen with work on 3 rigs at the same time!

We had assignments for the rigs Stena Don, Deep Sea Yantai and Floatel Superior.

In November, we signed an agreement with 3X ENGINEERING, a global leader in the repair of critical industrial assets using composite technology. This solution was originally introduced to the aerospace industry, and their effectiveness has been proven in various markets, including Oil & Gas and Land-Based Industries!

And just before Christmas, we were able to announce that Vår Energi has renewed its trust! We signed a new ISO maintenance and modification contract with Vår Energi ASA. The new contract has a duration of five years, with options for three extensions of two years. The contract replaces a previous maintenance contract signed in 2020. We see the fact that Vår Energi gives us long-term confidence with a potential of 11 years as a confirmation of good deliveries from all our employees who have contributed to this contract so far.

Now at the end of the year, we have already received orders that secure next year! In other words, we have a lot of good things in store for us in 2025 and can't wait to get started!
