We had a chat with Sindre to get to know each other a little better, read the portrait here:

Who are you?

29 years old, from Holsnøy. Recently hired as a CAD designer.

Newly graduated from vocational school in technical drawing. Went to the TAF line (Technical General Subjects).

I was an apprentice at Veidekke as a concrete worker at the same time as I went to school. After this, I went into the military in the guard, one year.

Then I started at Stoltz as a concrete worker for about a year. Found out that I had a dust allergy so this direction was not for me.

I took security guard training and worked as a security guard at the Mongstad refinery before I went back to school and took up subjects.

Started at Western Norway University of Applied Sciences, in Sogndal. The plan was to take a bachelor's degree in renewable energy in 2020, then Corona came and it all ended with me starting vocational school. The good thing about this school is that you could take it part-time and online! Very flexible and it suited me very well.

What do you work with?

Work as a CAD designer. This includes 3D modeling and Clash testing - To test that things do not crash with each other in the 3D model. Print reports based on the results of the tests. In addition, I will measure up insulation "jackets". This means that I will go out on the projects offshore to measure, and then draw up what I have measured and then send it on to production.

Now everything is new and exciting. Looking forward to traveling offshore as I have never done it before.

What project are you on now and how is it going?

Designing insulation boxes right now for Valhall, the MEG project. It's going very well. Will soon be going to Oseberg field center for 2 weeks to measure up insulation jackets. There are 80 jackets to be measured in a relatively short time, so it will be exciting!

What do you dream of?

My dream was to get a job here😊 The next goal is to get my own apartment! I just got a car so it's freedom!
