Get to know the "new" project manager Lars Kåre Johannessen

Lars Kåre joined StS-ISONOR as project manager on 01.02.2024. He will have a special focus on land-based industrial projects. The goal is to further develop our delivery program to existing customers and strengthen our general position in industry.

We welcome him to StS-ISONOR. In this connection, we had a little chat with Lars Kåre, now that he is well underway on the StS-ISONOR team.

Who are you?

Lars Kåre Johannessen, 48 years old Lives in Florø. Has a daughter of 20 years - is employed as a project manager.

Have worked in the subject for 30 years now- started straight from vocational school to work with sandblasting- and there I stayed. Am Frosio Inspector Level 3. I have developed accordingly and participated in many different areas of surface treatment.

Started working in 1994 in BMS corrosion. Then it became the NSL group, which in turn became ISONOR Industrier, which is now StS-ISONOR.

In 2004 I helped start a company called Surface Service in Florø - traveled around and worked with tank coating, painting in tanks on ships, as well as docking at various shipyards. Did this for 10 years.

Then I moved to Stord and was employed by Norisol Norway - after a chat with Vincent Dunne. He was one of my most important mentors.

Worked there from 2013-2016. Then we started ISO Management AS in teams with colleagues from Norisol. Ilari Rajalehto, Knut Reiakvam and Terje Hoem. Then Knut Einar Bordi and Kjell Gulliksen came in.

Then things took off and we bought Norisol Norway - which was renamed ISONOR Industrier after a while.

Have a lot of experience in managing projects within surface treatment and insulation.

What do you work with?

Works as a project manager. Passionate about building up and developing what I work with. That's what gives me energy. If it's fun at work, then we succeed. In the same way, it is fun to develop the projects I lead to achieve ever better results.

What project are you on now and how is it going?

Currently working on the Valhall Bridge project, which will be built at Eydehavn. The customer is Nymo, which in turn is a supplier to Aker Solutions.

The challenges today are delays due to steel deliveries. This creates a lot of challenges with the final delivery, which still has the same delivery date. Then we must take action with night shifts, build extra halls, so that we can take care of more at the same time while ensuring good profitability in the project.

We have a lot of expertise in the former ISONOR Industries and the StS gruppen, where we complement each other in a good way. There is good interaction, so we think this will go well. We are used to turning around and taking challenges head on!

What do you dream of?

I dream of continuing to create added value in the projects I am involved in- To succeed in turning the focus from challenges to solutions- in teams.

Personally, I dream of traveling more. I am a very maritime person who likes to spend my time in boating with family and friends! Maybe a circumnavigation of the world with family and friends- before I'm retired preferably!
