Our faithful Helge Vindenes was honored when he left Gjøa for the very last time!
Good colleagues honored Helge Vindenes when he returned home from work for the last time.
Helge Vindenes is now entering retirement after 39 years as an employee with us!
Helge has worked on many different projects, including Grane, Gullfaks A, B and C, Heidrun, Oseberg C and Oseberg Øst, Aasta Hansten, Edvard Grieg, Glen Lyon, Alvheim, Njord A, Eldfisk, Knarr and CCB (Coast Center Base ).
He is a skilled worker who is very well liked by his colleagues.
A workmate for many years, Rolf Inde says: "everyone liked Helge, a fit and serious workhorse!"
Helge even has a plaque documenting that he is a "Hardhaus". He received this after completing the Oslo marathon, the Birkebeineren on skis, and cycling from Trondheim to Oslo.
He says: "Once at work someone called me hard-headed, he should have known then that it was true,"
Terje Snarberg, who is our discipline leader for Scaffolding, and who has worked with Helge for many years, says: "Helge has a nice warm sense of humor and is a pleasure to be with both at work and in his free time".
Helge himself says:
"I want to thank StS for many good years, not least all good colleagues. A big thank you to those who organized a memorable marking for me. There was a lap of honor with a helicopter. When we passed the helideck and I saw many people with large flags, then i realized, that's the end, thank you very much"
Thank you for your long and faithful service Helge and enjoy your well-deserved retirement!
