Rope Access is a rope-based method for access.
Industrial rope access
Since the beginning of the 90's, we have experienced that access technology is a safe and cost-effective solution for access. The method is used by all our disciplines and is relevant for all types of industry, such as oil and gas, construction and renewable industry.
StS-ISONOR is a pioneer in the field in Norway and has breadth in its RAT deliveries both nationally and internationally.
StS-ISONOR is certified as an operator and training company according to NS9600 work in ropes.
We supply specially adapted RAT teams for each individual assignment according to the customer’s requirements. These RAT teams can often be a variation of several skilled disciplines-called SWAT teams.

The importance of training and practical experience
Industrial rope access is a challenging profession where the safety level required to perform well cannot be achieved through theoretical knowledge alone. Training and practical experience is crucial for the ability to assess situations and understand HSE.
Therefore, SOFT have divided the education into several levels with requirements for the number of logged hours before admission to courses at the next level can begin. All industrial rope access assignments must have a safety supervisor in charge.
